MONMOUTH, Ore. – Western Oregon soccer will take their second road trip of the season to Montana State Billings on Thursday, Sept. 24 and to Northwest Nazarene on Saturday, Sept. 26.

The Wolves finished their non-conference season with a 1-0 win against Evergreen State on Sept. 14. Pundyke scored Western Oregon's only goal through a penalty kick in the first half. Â

On Sept. 19, the Wolves opened the GNAC with a 1-0 loss against defending conference champions Western Washington. After a Vikings goal in the 17th minute of the game, they held Western Oregon off, outshooting the Wolves, 15-6.

The Wolves look to recover from the loss and get their first GNAC win this weekend.

TAKING CHANCESWestern Oregon has taken 73 total shots this season, averaging 12.17 shots per game.
Makana Pundyke leads the team with 16 shots, and
Vicky Cruz Rosales has 10 as well. They currently have the most goals in the GNAC as they have scored 12 goals this season. Averaging two goals per game, they are tied with Saint Martin's and Northwest Nazarene at first place in the league for their average of goals per game.

THE DEFENSE PREVAILSWith six games behind them, the Wolves have only allowed three goals the entire season. Goalkeeper
Lindsey Mabinuori has faced 43 shots and made 20 saves, while
Nicole Tejada has faced six shots and made one save.

ABOUT MONTANA STATE BILLINGSThe Yellowjackets are on a two-game winning streak as they defeated the Academy of Art, 2-1, on Sept. 12 to end their preseason and began the GNAC with a 2-0 win over Northwest Nazarene on Sept 19. They improved to 3-1-1 on the season this past week.

Against Northwest Nazarene, the Yellowjackets' goals came from Elizabeth Howard, who sent a long ball that was misplayed by the Crusaders goalkeeper and ended up in the net, and Jessica Spang, who took the ball from the top of the 18-yard box and carried it in.

Spang has a total of three goals this season, while Alycia Wright has two of her own. Montana State Billings has scored eight goals, and they have five against them.

ABOUT NORTHWEST NAZARENEÂ Â Â Â Â Â Northwest Nazarene previously blew out Rocky Mountain College on Sept. 17 with a 5-0 win, but their two-game winning streak was interrupted by the 1-0 loss against Montana State Billings on Sept. 19, leaving them at 3-3 on the season.

Nicole Nsa currently has the most goals in the GNAC with four, and she also has two assists. Kelsey Martin has three goals on the season, while Lexi Fesenbek has two. The Crusaders have 12 goals under their belts and have allowed eight into their own net.
