LAST TIME OUT- Western Oregon split two matches to open GNAC play last week at home. The Wolves lost to No. 12 Alaska Anchorage (3-1) before sweeping Alaska (3-0).
- WOU was only the fifth team to take a set off the Seawolves this season. UAA had four sweeps heading into play with the Wolves.
- Sophomore Alisha Bettinson led the Wolves with 27 kills for the weekend. She hit .309 from the floor, had 16 digs and two blocks.

ABOUT SAINT MARTIN'S- Kara Peterson is 12-56 in her third year leading the Saints. Saint Martin's is 1-7 overall in 2015 and 0-2 in GNAC action.
- The Saints went 4-26 overall in 2014 and 1-17 in league play. They return 10 letterwinners and three starters in 2015.
- The Saints are hitting .089 as a team with 9.6 kills per set. Opponents are hitting .255 with 12.1 kills per set.
- Julia Wabinga leads the team with 2.79 kills per game and is tied for the team lead with six aces on the season. Kyra Davidson has participated in over half of the team blocks this year – six solo and 18 assisted.
VS. SAINT MARTIN'S: Western Oregon is 32-4 all-time against Saint Martin's since 1995. The teams split two matches last year with each winning on the other's home court.

ABOUT SEATTLE PACIFIC- Chris Johnson is 176-106 over 11 seasons as the head coach of the Falcons. Seattle Pacific is 2-8 overall in 2015 and 0-2 in GNAC play.
- The Falcons went 12-14 overall in 2014 and finished in 7th place with a 6-12 in league. SPU returns seven letterwinners and four starters in 2015.
- SPU is hitting .132 as a team with 10.8 kills per set. Falcon opponents are hitting .234 with 13.5 kills per match.
- Hannah Lautenbach leads SPU with 98 kills in 10 matches, hitting .197 from the floor. Symone Tran averages 8.5 assists per set to spark the SPU offense. Â
VS. SEATTLE PACIFIC: Seattle Pacific holds a 25-16 advantage in the series dating back to 1986. The Falcons won the first meeting last season in five sets, but WOU bounced back with a sweeping performance later in the year.

WOU TEAM NOTES: Here are some tidbits about the Western Oregon volleyball team through 11 matches:
- Western Oregon is 4-7 overall this season with all four victories coming at home – against Lewis & Clark (Sept. 8), Adelphi (Sept. 10), Notre Dame de Namur (Sept. 12), Alaska (Sept. 19).
- The Wolves are hitting .190 as a team with 10.4 kills per set. They hit a season-best .302 in the three-game sweep over Alaska on Sept. 19.
- Western Oregon is just one match win from matching its total from the entire 2014 season.
- The Wolves are looking for its first wins on the road this year and consecutive wins away from the New P.E. Building since Nov. 1-3, 2012 (part of a four-game road winning streak).

SCHEDULE NOTES: A peek into the Wolves' 2015 schedule.
- Western Oregon opened the season at the Oredigger Volleyball Classic hosted by Colorado School of Mines. WOU dropped all four matches, including two matches to teams ranked inside the AVCA National Top 25 (No. 19 Cal State San Bernardino, No. 8 Colorado Mines).
- After a hiatus in 2014, WOU hosted the Western Oregon Invitational from Sept. 10-12 at the New P.E. Building. This year, WOU went 2-2 with victories over Adelphi in four games and Notre Dame de Namur in five games.           Since 2012, Western Oregon is 7-5 as tournament hosts.
- The Great Northwest Athletic Conference added Concordia-Portland as a full member in 2015. With the Cavaliers joining the league, they become Western Oregon's travel partner when both teams hit the road. Since 2009, Western Oregon and Saint Martin's had been coupled as a road trip for visiting teams.

ON THE GNAC HORIZON: Following the trip to Washington, Western Oregon will return home for two matches against Central Washington (Oct. 1) and Northwest Nazarene (Oct. 3).
