MONMOUTH, Ore. – Western Oregon softball heads back on the road this weekend with two-game series set on Saturday against Central Washington and Sunday at Saint Martin's in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.

ABOUT WESTERN OREGON:
- The Wolves are 37 wins away from 750 as a program (since 1985).
- Offensively, the Wolves have shined over the first 19 games of the season averaging 6.47 runs per game, ranked 21st in Division II.
- After going hitless in the season opener, Kelsie Gardner has hit safely in 18 straight games including eight two-hit and three three-hit games. She is the team's leader hitting .464 with 32 hits and nine stolen bases.
- Destiny Kuehl is hitting .410 and leads Western Oregon with 22 runs batted in and is tied with Zoe Clark with four home runs each. Kuehl had a 12-game reached base streak snapped in Billings while Lynch's streak closed at 11 games.
- In total, seven Western Oregon players are hitting above .300 on the season.
- The pitching staff took a hit to their collective ERA giving up 49 runs in the four-game series at MSUB last weekend. After entering last week with a 2.69 team ERA, which ranked 79th in the country, the Wolves will now look to keep the two best hitting offenses in the GNAC at bay this weekend, as CWU has a league best .375 batting average while SMU follows at .338 for the season.
- Three Wolves have earned GNAC Player of the Week honors thus far – Destiny Kuehl (Player, Feb. 20), Ashlee Lynch (Player, Feb. 27) and Sammi Cadwallader (Pitcher, Feb. 27).

ROAD WARRIORS, PART TWO:
- The Wolves continue their current 14-game road trip at Central Washington and Saint Martin's before heading to the Tournament of Champions, sponsored by the City of Turlock from March 31-April 2 against six teams from the PacWest and the CCAA.
- Western Oregon went 9-6 during its 15-game stretch on the road to start the season. The Wolves went 2-3 in the Las Vegas Desert Stinger Classic. After dropping two to Hawaii Pacific, WOU has won six of their last seven with doubleheader sweeps of Chaminade and BYU-Hawaii while taking three out of four games in a non-league tilt at the College of Idaho.

WOLVES vs. CWU:
- Western Oregon and Central Washington have played 104 times prior to this year with the Wolves holding a 26-39 record in road and neutral site games in the series. Last year, the Wolves went 1-3 in the regular season against the Wildcats and 0-2 on the final day of the GNAC Championships in Lacey.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS:
- Central Washington holds a 14-5 record entering the week, going 7-1 so far in the GNAC after a weekend sweep at Simon Fraser and Western Washington last weekend.
- The Wildcats are hitting .375 as a team with 59 extra base hits. Kailyn Campbell is tearing the cover off the ball, hitting .536 with nine doubles, six homers, 22 RBI and an OPS of 1.526. Jacie McDaniels is the team leader with nine home runs and 30 RBI. Kina Wood is having a solid year in the circle with a 6-1 record and a 2.38 ERA while Kayla Smith is 5-4 and leads the team with 30 strikeouts in 44 innings.

WOLVES vs. SMU:
- Sunday's first game will be the 100th meeting all-time between the Wolves and the Saints. WOU holds a 69-30 advantage overall, including a 3-2 record last season. The Wolves lost twice in Lacey, swept two game played at Hillsboro Stadium four days later and won 4-0 in in the winner's bracket of the GNAC Championship last April.

SCOUTING THE SAINTS:
- Saint Martin's dropped four out of six games last weekend to sit at a 10-6 record entering the week and 5-3 so far in the GNAC. The Saint are led offensively by Lindsey Miller hitting .510 and Lauren Diuco at .492. Jackie Schmaeling (5) and Mary Dettling (4) lead SMU in the home runs. In the circle, Kim Nelson has thrown the most innings (51.1), going 6-2 in 10 appearacnes with a team-low 2.45 ERA.
