- Play in the Tournament of Champions will bring the season-opening stretch of road games to an end. WOU's first 26 games will be away from Monmouth.
- Western Oregon went 9-6 during its 15-game stretch on the road to start the season. The Wolves went 2-3 in the Las Vegas Desert Stinger Classic. After dropping two to Hawaii Pacific, WOU has won six of their last seven with doubleheader sweeps of Chaminade and BYU-Hawaii while taking three out of four games in a non-league tilt at the College of Idaho.
 ABOUT THE OPPONENTS:
- Holy Names dropped two games on Tuesday to Hawaii-Hilo in league play to fall to 3-25 on the season. One win came against a GNAC team, Saint Martin's, on March 22.
- UC San Diego has lost eight of their last nine overall games and lost a series at Sonoma State last weekend to enter the TOC with a break-even 15-15 record for the season. The Tritons have been ranked as high as No. 14 in the NFCA Division II rankings.
- Academy of Art has earned PacWest splits in each of their last two series against Hawaii-Hilo and Hawaii Pacific. The Urban Knights are 15-17 overall on the year and will play five GNAC teams in the TOC playing Simon Fraser and Western Washington before tangling with the Wolves.
