Box Score HONOLULU, Hawaii—Behind a pair of second-half goals by freshman
Alyssa Tomasini, Western Oregon dropped Chaminade University 2-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Sunday afternoon.
With the win, Western Oregon improved to 1-3-0 on the season while Chaminade fell to 1-2-0 overall.
The Wolves will return to action by opening up GNAC play at No. 1-ranked Western Washington University on Sept. 16. Kick off in Bellingham, Washington is set for 4 p.m.
Both teams notched four shot attempts in the first half and entered the break in a scoreless stalemate.
The offense for the Wolves upped its intensity in the second half, doubling up the home side in total shots (10 to 5), and finally broke through in the 64th minute when Tomasini corralled a pass from teammate
Kennedy Clay and used a deft touch on a shot past CU goalkeeper Brandee Lee.
Tomasini returned in the 81st minute for the team's insurance goal, this time set up by defender
Dana Jacobs.

Caitlin Kastelic stopped six shots to preserve the shutout.
