McMINNVILLE, Ore.—A day after competing in their home meet, Western Oregon's
Rachel Bayly and
Grayson Burke captured event titles at Linfield's Jenn Boyman Memorial Invitational on Saturday.
In her first career attempt at the 400-meter hurdles,
Grayson Burke topped the field by exactly one second with a time of 1:07.60.
Bayly, meanwhile, Finished with more than a two-second gap over the runner-up competitor in the 800 by crossing in 2:28.91. Bayly's time fell just shy of her season best of 2:26.14 set at the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open.
The Wolves will continue its outdoor season next Saturday at the Pacific Laua Invitational.
