PORTLAND, Ore. – Freshman Dominique Loggins started his indoor track and field season in style when he was able to take first in the 60-meter this past weekend at the University of Portland Indoor #2 to earn Great Northwest Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors. Not only that, his time of under seven seconds is tops in the GNAC this season.
Loggins certainly made his debut in style running to first in the men's 60-meter dash at the Portland Indoor #2. After opening with a time of 7.02 to win the preliminaries, he did even better in the final when he was able to get under seven with a time of 6.98 to grab the title. His time sits fifth in the WOU school record books and is one of the top times in the GNAC so far this season. Loggins is also a member of the WOU football team.
