MONMOUTH, Ore. – Senior offensive lineman Jakob Pruitt took home another academic honor on Thursday when he was named to the First Team College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team.
Pruitt will now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot that will be announced in mid-December. He holds a 3.85 GPA while majoring in criminal justice.
Pruitt has been a stalwart along the offensive line over the past several years for the Wolves, starting in nine games this season at tackle and also spending time at center. Throughout the 2019 season, Pruitt started every game at center.
The four-time GNAC Academic recipient also earned honors on the field for three straight seasons. This year, Pruitt was a First Team selection and earned Second Team honors each of the previous two seasons. He helped lead the Wolves to 224 points and 3,510 total yards of offense this season, with 1,994 coming through the air. WOU recorded 31 total touchdowns on offense, 18 on the ground.
