Women’s Soccer Adds Division I Transfer Gregory

MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Western Oregon University women's soccer team added another big piece to the 2022 recruiting class with the addition of Division I transfer Jordan Gregory.

"Jordan is a very exciting transfer for us. She is quick, athletic, good in tight areas, and can get forward well. We love her energy and personality and know she will fit in great with the team," head coach Kacey Bingham said.

Gregory is a defender who competed the past few seasons at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, N.M. She saw time right away as a true freshman in 2019, playing in 10 games and logging 198 minutes. Gregory played over 40 minutes against both Northern Arizona and Grand Canyon. She added shots against Wyoming and Grand Canyon. During the shortened 2021 spring season, Gregory saw time in nine games that were all starts, playing a total of 543 minutes. She helped lead the team to a shutout win over Chicago State and in addition to another win over Chicago State, helped the Aggies to a 2-1 win over Grand Canyon. Gregory logged at least 60 minutes in seven games, going for a season-high 88 against Grand Canyon. She added an assist in the shutout win over Chicago State.

Gregory attended Liberty High School in Discovery Bay, Calif., where she helped the Lions to the California Interscholastic Federation-North Coast Section Division I Championship for the 2016-17 season. The team won the Bay Valley Athletic League Championship in 2017, 2018 and 2019. She played the most minutes on her high school team over her final three seasons. Gregory earned All-League honors throughout her prep career. She also competed in track and field and played for the club team Mustang Blast ECNL.
