Wolves Post Solid Marks at Oregon Twilight

EUGENE, Ore. -- The Western Oregon University men's and women's track and field teams traveled just down the road Friday night to compete in the Oregon Twilight on the campus of the University of Oregon. Maya Hopwood, Curt Knott, Emmett Klus, Max Carmona and Hunter Hutton all competed on the evening.

Hopwood ran to a time of 12.61 to come in fourth in the 100-meter. Hopwood was close to her season and personal-best in the event on the year.

In the 800-meter, the Wolves had three entries with Knott leading the way with a time of 1:54.74 to come in ninth. For Knott, he just missed his season-best time on the year. Klus was the next one in for WOU crossing with a time of 1:55.26 to come in 10th. Klus was also just off his season and personal-best time in the event. Carmona was right behind Klus crossing at 1:55.50 to come in 11th. It was the second outdoor meet of the season for Carmona.

Hutton finished the night running in the 1,500-meter where he posted a time of 3:49.20 to come in 26th in a loaded field. Hutton was close to his season and personal-best time in the event.

WOU will now prepare for the GNAC Championships that will take place on the campus of Western Oregon next Friday and Saturday (May 14-15).
