PORTLAND, Ore. --- Western Oregon's
Hannah Rispler was named the GNAC Defensive Player of the Year when the conference released its 2022 GNAC Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams and awards on Tuesday.
Rispler, a junior, earned All-GNAC First Team honors as well while senior
Erika Gonzalez-Moreno was selected to the GNAC All-Conference Second Team.

Briana Kubli,
Elizabeth Parker,
Lulu Sadler and
Chloe Smith were named All-GNAC Honorable Mention.
Rispler was the force behind a strong WOU defensive unit as one of the team's center backs. In 15 games, Rispler played 1,280 minutes and had an assist for the Wolves while helping the team allow just 1.28 goals per game - including six shutouts on the season. She was a unanimous decision for the first team and it's the second year in a row she made an all-conference team - named to the second team last season.
Gonzalez-Moreno played in all 18 games for the Wolves this season, playing 1,336 minutes at the center midfield position. She finished with an assist on the season was another key component of the team's defensive prowess. She was named All-GNAC Honorable Mention last season.
As for the other major awards, Northwest Nazarene's Ashley Parton was named the Player of the Year, Travis Connell of Western Washington was named the Coach of the Year, Morgan Manalili of Western Washington was selected the Freshman of the Year and Isabella Muzzolini of Simon Fraser was named the Newcomer of the Year.
