PORTLAND, Ore. – The Western Oregon University men's and women's track and field teams closed out the weekend competing at the Portland Indoor meet on Sunday.
WOU had seven student-athletes compete on the day in Easton Pomrankey, Jordan Kemper, Katie Chapman, Emily Johnson, Emily Moore, Cedar Davis-Frankfort and Jaden McCabe.
Pomrankey posted a top-five finish in the men's 800 crossing at 1:59.49 to come in fourth. Kemper just missed a top-10 finish coming in 12th.
Chapman collected a top-10 finish in the women's 800 crossing with a time of 2:26.50 to come in eighth.
Johnson and Moore finished just a few spots apart in the women's 3,000 with Johnson coming in 13th and Moore placing 15th.
In the men's 3,000, Davis-Frankfort and McCabe came in 15th and 16th, respectively.
WOU will now prepare for the GNAC Indoor Championships that will take place Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 21-22 at The Podium in Spokane, Wash.
