HONOLULU, Hawaii --- The Western Oregon volleyball team picked up a victory over Hawaii Hilo to wrap up play at the Magic Island Classic after falling to Stanislaus State earlier Saturday at the Honolulu Convention Center.
The Wolves (2-2) defeated the Vulcans 3-1 (25-22, 25-23, 22-25, 25-17) - getting a balanced effort with four playres finishing with double figures in kills in
Delaney Smith (12), Madison Horback (11),
Lauren Smith (10) and
Bailee Hartsook (10).Â
Emily Smith paced WOU with 26 assists while
Laney O'Neil added 19.
Chloe Asciutto had four blocks while
Delaney Smith added three and
Ally Henry had a team-best 13 digs.
In the loss to Stanislaus State, Hornback led the way for WOU with 11 kills to go along with 12 digs. Â Hartsook had eight kills while
Lauren Smith added seven. Henry had a team-high 13 digs while West had 17 assists and O'Neil added 15.

The Wolves return to action next week in Washington at the Saint Martin's Labor Day Tournament starting Thursday where they will play Adelphi University and Westminster College. On Friday, WOU takes on Western New Mexico and Colorado Christian.
