PORTLAND, Ore. --- Western Oregon senior
Hannah Rispler led a strong defensive effort by the Wolves in a pair of matches this week and was rewarded by being named the GNAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
The WOU center back and captain played a huge role in holding Simon Fraser and Western Washington to a combined four shots on goal (two in each game) as the Wolves won each contest 1-0 to move to the top of the GNAC standings. Rispler played all 180 minutes in the two victories for the Wolves and hasn't missed a minute this season.
WOU returns to action at Montana State Billings 5 p.m. (PT) Thursday.
