ANCHORAGE, Alaska --- The Western Oregon volleyball team lost 3-1 (25-20, 25-13, 16-25, 25-23) to Alaska Anchorage on Thursday night at the Alaska Airlines Center.
The Wolves (8-13 overall, 2-11 GNAC) dropped the first two sets to the Seawolves (14-15, 6-8) before taking the third set 25-16 thanks to a late 5-0 run capped by a
Bella MacLellan block that made made it 23-13.
However, UAA took the fourth set to win the match.
MacLellan led the Wolves with six blocks while reigning GNAC Offensive Player of the Week
Madison Hornback had a team-high 17 kills.
Laney O'Neil led the team with 18 assists and
Bailee Hartsook at 16 digs to lead WOU.
Tayler Lamb added a team-best three aces.
WOU returns to action Saturday at Alaska in Fairbanks.
