Wolves win fifth in a row in 73-49 victory over Lewis & Clark

MONMOUTH, Ore. — The Western Oregon women's basketball team picked up its fifth win in a row in defeating Lewis and Clark 73-49 on Sunday at NPE Building.

Five minutes into the game, the Wolves (8-5) claimed a 14-12 lead over the Pioneers (1-7) with a Cali McClave 3-pointer from Hanne Hopkins, sparking an 11-point run. WOU held onto the lead - expanding it to as much as 26 points in the fourth quarter.

The Wolves offensive load was evenly distributed - having four players in double figures. Kiylynn Dawkins logged her fifth double-double of the season scoring 17 points (shooting 7-for-11) and adding 14 rebounds. Bella Pedrojetti scored 13 points as she's scored in double figures in five consecutive games. Cali McClave had a team high seven assists with no turnovers while adding 11 points and five rebounds. Jodi Noyes put up 10 points while adding eight rebounds.

The Wolves will return to GNAC play as they host Saint Martin's 2 p.m. Saturday at NPE Building.
