MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Western Oregon football team signed more than 30 new Wolves on Wednesday during National Signing Day.
The Wolves have signed 11 offensive linemen, six wide receivers, five defensive backs, six defensive linemen, five linebackers, three tight ends, two quarterbacks, one athlete and two running backs. As far as where the recruits are coming from - 15 are from Oregon, 12 are from California, 12 are from Washington and two from Texas.
"This is a very well-rounded class that we believe has the size and speed to put us over the top in the Lone Star Conference," WOU head coach
Arne Ferguson said. "We're hoping they will help us turn some of those close losses we had into wins."
WOU is coming off a 6-5 campaign, including going 5-4 in its first season in the always tough LSC with three of those losses by five points or less. Read more about theÂ
