CORVALLIS, Ore. --- Western Oregon's
Caitlin Heldt broke her own school record in the 5,000 to highlight the Wolves' performance at the OSU High Performance on Friday and Saturday.
Heldt finished with a time of 17 minutes, 6.05 seconds, in the 5,000 to beat her record by more than two seconds to finish 11th in the invite heat. It was also an NCAA provisional time.

FRIDAY
- Emillia Carpenter set a new PR in the hammer with a distance of 46.09 meters (151-02)
- Ujunwa Nwokoma took fourth in the long jump (5.77 meters)
- Jenelle Hurley set a new season best and took fifth in long jump (5.74)Â
- JJ Walker set a new PR to take fourth in the long jump (6.77)
- Deshaun Stevens set a new PR in the 400 hurdles (55.74)
- Kolby Spink won the open men's 5k in 15:13.19 for a new PR
- Hunter Hutton was fourth in the invitational men's 1,500 (3:47.89)
- Riley Smith took seventh in the open 1,500 in 4:42 for an 11-second season best
SATURDAY
- Justin Conklin ties his PR in the 110 Hurdles (14.79)
- Maya Hopwood set a season best in the 100 with a time of 12.2 seconds - good for third
- Dominique Loggins ran a time of 10.90 seconds in his 100-meter season opener
- Emmett Klus set an NCAA provisional mark and the seventh-fastest time in WOU history in the 800 (1:51.24)
- Hunter Hutton won his heat in the 800 (1:53.7)
- Gabe Arce-Torres set a season best in the 400 (49.98)
- Eli Nafziger set a season best in the Javelin (51.93) for 10th overall
- Ana Popchock in her season opener in the triple jumple set a mark of 11.36 meters
- Dayne Gordien took fourth in the shot put at 15.90 meters while Mark Warren set a season best at 14.35
Next up for the Wolves ist he GNAC Multi Event Championship being held Monday and Tuesday in Nampa, Idaho.
