PORTLAND, Ore. --- The 2023 regular-season champion Western Oregon baseball team showed it's not just on the field where the Wolves take care of the business as 14 student-athletes were named to the GNAC Baseball All-Academic Team on Wednesday.
Thre Wolves earned their third honor in
Justyn Herzog (3.51 GPAÂ - Exercise Science),
Derek Maiben (3.51 - Interdisciplinary Studies) and
Jacob Maiben (3.68 - Criminal Justice). Two players earned their second honor -
Jacob Memmott (3.86 - Exercise Science) and
Ryan Witt (3.77 - Exercise Science).
The other nine are first-time all-academic honorees:
Sebasten Boivin (3.45 - Business),
Bryce Bond (3.47 - Exercise Science),
Levi Cummings (3.31 -Â Exercise Science),
Chris Hardin (3.24 - Economics),
Dominic Miller (3.20 - Exercise Science),
Curran Mitzel (3.59 - Sociology),
Hibiki Ouchi (3.66 - Communications),
Ryan Shipley (3.44 - Criminal Justice) and
Zach Valdez (3.63 - Business).
The Wolves return to action Thursday at Saint Martin's in Lacey, Washington.Â
