BILLINGS, Mont. --- The Western Oregon volleyball team bounced back from a Thursday five-set loss at Seattle Pacific by taking down Montana State Billings 3-1 (25-16, 24-26, 25-13, 25-14) on Saturday afternoon at Alterowitz Gymnasium.
The Wolves (12-6 overall, 4-5 GNAC) won their three sets by an average of 10.7 points and finished the match with a 0.293 hitting percentage. WOU never trailed in the first set, started the third set on a 10-1 run to build an insurmountable lead and never trailed in teh third set.
Kealani Rosa led the Wolves in assists (28) and digs (11) while adding three aces.
Madison Hornback led the Wolves with 12 kills to go along with nine digs and two blocks,
Chloe Asciutto had 11 kills and three blocks while
Lauryn Johnson had 10 kills.
Maela Honma had 10 digs and a team-high four aces while
Finley Buman led the team with four blocks.
The Wolves return home next week to take on Alaska Anchorage 7 p.m. Thursday for its Purple Out for Domiestic Violence Awareness and again 7 p.m. Saturday against Alaska Fairbanks for homecoming.
