MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Western Oregon volleyball team celebrated its five senior on Saturday afternoon before falling to Seattle Pacific 3-1 (25-23, 17-25, 25-22, 25-18) at New PE Building.
Playing their final game for the Wolves in Monmouth was
Bailee Hartsook,
Aneli Godinez-Martinez,
Sarah Strus,
Tayler Lamb and
Madison Hornback.
As for the match, WOU (15-10 overall, 7-9 GNAC) and the Falcons (9-16, 9-8) split the first two sets and were tied 18 apiece in the third set after kills from
Chloe Asciutto and Hornback. However, a 6-1 run by the Falcons helped them close out the third 25-22 before winning the fourth to secure the match.
Hornback finished with 18 kills to lead WOU - giving her 965 in her career with two matches to go. She also had a team-high 12 digs. Hartsook and
Maela Honman each had eight kills apiece while Smantha Darby led the team with 22 assists to go along with four aces - giving her 52 on the season and breaking the Wolves' NCAA-era (since 2000) record of 51. She is three away from reaching the WOU all-time top 10. Chloe Ascuitto,

WOU closes out the season next week on the road at Northwest Nazarene on Thursday and at Central Washington on Saturday.
