FOREST GROVE, Ore. --- Western Oregon's
Gabe Burchfield won the Pac U Multi with a 6,000-plus point effort Monday at Hanson Stadium.
The junior won the long jump (6.68 meters; 21 feet, 11 inches) and high jump (1.91 meters, 6-03.25) while taking third in the 400 and 110 hurdles - eventually finishing in the top six in all but one event and scored 6,013 points.

Caleb Ness took ninth (4,814 points), including winning the 1500 (4:50.36) and taking second in the javelin (48.81 meters) while
JJ Walker scored 3,481 points in the six events he completed, including winning the shot put, taking second in the discus and third in the javelin.
On the women's side in the heptathlon,
Macy Clemens too fourth for the Wolves with 4,134 points - including winning the long jump (5.13 meters, 16-10) and taking third in the 800 (2:36.75).
Amity Deters took seventh with 3,881 points with a second-place finish in the high jump (1.62 meters) and a third-place finish in the 200 (27.42) while
Sadie Wendring took ninth with 3,546 points.
FRESHMAN LEMEZA WITH WOU TOP-10 MARK IN POLE VAULT AT WILLAMETTE
On Saturday, freshman
Alecia Lemeza reached the No. 7 spot on the WOU all-time list in the pole vault at 3.05 meters (10-0) to take fourth at the Willamette Invitational on Saturday in Salem.
Lemeza is the first person to reach the women's WOU top 10 in the event since Becca Hazel cleared 11-0.75 in 2013 - the second-best height in Wolves history. The record is 11-6 set by Katie Henes in 2002.
