ELLENSBURG, Wash. --- The Western Oregon baseball team won convincingly 11-3 in game one over Central Washington before falling in extra innings 5-4 in game two Saturday at CWU Baseball Field.

In the first game, the Wolves (19-17 overall, 13-9 GNAC) trailed the Wildcats (17-19, 12-10) 2-0 before a six-run outburst in the fifth highlighted by a Collin Irwin two-run single and capped by an Owen Bischoff RBI triple gave WOU a 6-2 lead it wouldn't relinquish.

Justyn Herzog paced WOU at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two walks. AJ Cortese went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run, Irwin finished 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs while Bischoff was 2-for-5 with a triple, RBI, run and stolen base.
