PORTLAND, Ore. --- Western Oregon's Ciara Garcia's contributions to both of the Wolves' wins to open GNAC play was recognized Monday by the conference as she was named the GNAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

The sophomore from Flagstaff, Arizona, scored two goals and had an assist on the week. At Northwest Nazarene on Saturday, Garcia scored the Wolves' first two goals in a 4-2 win over the Nighthawks. In the GNAC opener against Saint Martin's on Thursday in Monmouth, she set up WOU's lone goal with a beautiful cross for an assist in the 1-0 victory over the Saints.

Garcia sits tied for second in goals (3) and tied for fourth in points (7) in the GNAC.

WOU hits the road for a pair of games this week, traveling to take on Simon Fraser on Thursday and Western Washington on Saturday.
