BELLINGHAM, Wash. --- The Western Oregon men's basketball team shot a season-best 53.2 percent from the field but fell to Western Washington 90-86 Saturday at Carver Gym.

Jahville Collins with 12 seconds remaining put the Wolves within a score of the Vikings, 88-86. But that was as close as WOU got, with the Vikings sealing the win on two free throws in the final seconds.
Collins finished with a team-high 27 points - going 10-for-16 from the field and 4-for-6 from 3-point range - along with three steals. Cazimero had 19 points (8-for-11 from the field) while
Jason Gallant had 17 points.
The Wolves' 53.2 percent shooting from the field is the best since shooting 57 percent (32-for-56) in a win over
Linfield on Nov. 21, 2023. The Wolves also went a season-best 57.1 percent from 3-point range, going 8-for-14 - the best for the Wolves since shooting 58.8 percent in a win over Alaska Anchorage Dec. 4, 2021.Â
The Wolves head back to Monmouth, taking on Northwest Nazarene at home 7:30 p.m. Thursday.Â
