The Western Oregon track and field program saw a trip of Wolves top-10 marks either improved or reached this weekend that saw the Wolves in Oregon, the Bay Area and Southern California.
In San Diego at the Triton Invite,
Ray Gerrard in the discus improved his PR and the No. 6 mark in WOU history by an inch at 164 feet, 8 inches to take fifth.
In San Francisco at the Make Fanelli Invitational on Friday,Â
Katie Chapman improved her No. 6 time in WOU history in the 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 11:30.06 – an improvement of more than five seconds.
In McMinnville at the Jenn Boyman Memorial on Saturday,
Isabel Zamora-Mercado cleared a career-best 10-1.5 in the pole vault to move into sixth in WOU history. Also at the Linfield-hosted event,
Nerissa Thompson took first in the 200 with a time of 25.23 seconds - just .04 off her PR and No. 4 time in school history.
The Wolves host the John Knight Invite this Friday and Saturday at McArthur Field in Monmouth.
