BELLINGHAM, Wash. --- The Western Oregon men's track and field team took home two more individual titles and finished second at the GNAC Championships while the women finished third as the event concluded Saturday.

The Wolves men finished with 116 points – only behind a dominant performance by Western Washington with 302.5 points. On the women's side, WOU finished with 101 points – behind Western Washington (229 points) and Central Washington (204 points).

WOU finished 1-2 in the 400 with both
Brennen Murphy (47.25 seconds) and
Jack Burgett (47.55) breaking the school record in the race. In the 200, Burgett took fifth while running a 21.67 – good for the No. 10 spot on the WOU all-time list. Murphy finished fourth with a 21.58 – 0.10 off his PR (No. 7 on the WOU list).

Ray Gerrard took home the title in the discus with a PR of 51.78 meters (169 feet, 10 inches) – good for third on the WOU all-time list and the longest distance in the event by a Wolf in 21 years.

The Wolves took home another title Friday night when
Kyla Potratz set a PR and won the 10,000 with a time of 36:38.45 – improving her No. 4 time in WOU history.

Isaiah Rodriguez took second in the 800 with a time of 1:51.84 while
Grant Bohannon set a PR with a time of 1:51.87 to finish just behind Rodriguez.

On Friday night,
Jordan Kemper set a PR and took fifth in the 10,000 with a time of 30:54.14 – good for fourth on the WOU all-time list.

Grace Lam Tiang made the podium in the javelin with a mark of 40.93 meters (134-03), taking third.
Amariyah Clay also took third in the triple jump with a season-best distance of 11.82 meters (38-9.50).

The 4x100 relay team of Fountain, Hart, Hough and Dotson also took third with a time of 48.38.

WOU will have one representative at the NCAA Championships with
Mark Warren competing in the hammer throw. The NCAAs are May 22-24 in Pueblo, Colorado.
