Wolves get 18 kills, 25 digs from Honma, fall to East Bay

SAN FRANCISCO --- The Western Oregon volleyball team dropped its final match before conference play 3-1 (28-26, 26-28, 25-22, 25-19) to Cal State East Bay on Saturday at the Gator Classic.

The Wolves (1-7) got a match-high 18 kills and 25 digs from Maela Honma. Chloe Asciutto had 12 kills, six blocks and two aces while Taya Blankenship had 11 kills. Samantha Darby had a team-high 45 assists.

WOU opens GNAC play 7 p.m. Thursday at home against Saint Martin's.
