MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Western Oregon volleyball team fell to Saint Martin's 3-1 (20-25, 25-23, 25-18, 26-24) on Thursday in the Wolves' GNAC opener at New PE Building.
The Wolves (1-8 overall, 0-1 GNAC) took the first set from the Saints (8-1, 1-0) before dropping the next three - including second and fourth by just two points.
Chloe Asciutto paced WOU with 14 kills to go along with six blocks.
Taya Blankenship and
Maela Honma had eight kills apiece (Honma added a team-high 12 digs) while
Ali Millspaugh finished with seven.
Samantha Darby had a team-best 36 assists along with 11 digs while libero
Sidney Friesen had 11 digs.
WOU returns to action Thursday at Alaska Anchorage.
