WOLVES HEADING INTO 2025
The Western Oregon women's soccer team is coming off its second-straight trip to the GNAC postseason after going 6-3-5 in conference play (6-6-8 overall) to take fourth before falling in the conference semifinals to Western Washington.
The Wolves return three of their eight players that logged 1,000-plus minutes last season in
Leah Heugly (1,693 minutes - 1st on the team),
Ciara Garcia (1,403 minutes - led the team with five goals) and 2024 all-region and all-conference defender
Jada Foster (1,173 minutes in 14 games).
WOU also returns several players that played significant time last season in
Alyna Slayter (827 minutes),
Lauren Rose (781 minutes - two assists),
Kameron Wimsatt (760 minutes - one goal, two assists),
Ally Beavers (654 minutes - one goal, two assists),
Savannah Taylor (605 minutes - one goal, one assist),
Emma Smith (545 minutes - one goal, one assist) and
Kylie Jones (498 minutes).
WOU will have a new primary keeper with the graduation of
Sophia Pierce after she played all but 135 minutes last season and all but 530 minutes in her two seasons (2,970 minutes - including 15 shutouts, the second most in WOU history). Senior
Bella Lopez has seen time each of the last two season at keeper for the Wolves while WOU also has two freshmen keepers on the roster in
Xeyana Salanoa and
Ayanah Soon.
