McQuain ties WOU hurdles record, Wolves with several other school top 10s in Idaho

MOSCOW, Idaho --- The Western Oregon track and field program had a school record tied and several other WOU top-10 performances at the Lauren McCluskey Memorial at the Kibbie Dome on Friday and Saturday.
 
Jackson McQuain tied a school record in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.25 – good for second place at the event. He tied Justin Conklin (2024) and Kaleb Dobson (2016) for the Wolves' top spot.
 
AJ Dixson made quite the debut in the triple jump with a distance of 48 feet (14.63 meters), good for fourth on the WOU all-time list. It's the best mark by a Wolf in the event since Matson Hardie's mark of 48-4 in 2013.
 
Tate Herber had the best indoor long jump mark for WOU since 2017 with a distance of 22-7.5 – good for 10th on the WOU all-time list and sixth at the event.
 
On the women's side, Amariyah Clay reached the finals in the 60-meter hurdles and ran the 10th-fastest time in WOU history with a 9.19 – good for sixth at the event.
 
Aaliyah Taba moved from 10th to eighth on the WOU all-time list in the 400 with a PR of 58.69 to finish third at the event.
