MONMOUTH, Ore. — Jadin Penigar drilled a game-winning jumper in the final second and finished with a game-high 25 points as Western Oregon men's basketball edged Seattle Pacific 50–49 in a dramatic victory Thursday night at the Wolves Athletic Center.
The Wolves (8-11, 3-7 GNAC) trailed by four at halftime before clawing back in a tightly contested second half that featured five lead changes. After Seattle Pacific took a one-point lead on a 3-pointer with 21 seconds remaining, Western Oregon put the ball in Penigar's hands out of a timeout. He delivered, rising for a mid-range jumper that fell with one second on the clock to seal the win.
