INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.--With only the conference tournaments left on the men's soccer horizon, Western Oregon checks in at No. 9 in the NCAA Super Region 4 NPI ratings, released today by the national office.
The top 10 stayed almost completely the same as last week, with just one more ranking to come--which will be the Sunday Selection show to determine the final playoff teams. Western Oregon is one of two Great Northwest Athletic Conference teams on the list, with Seattle Pacific being the other at No. 5
WOU will head to Seattle this week for the GNAC tournament as the No. 1 seed, taking on the winner of Simon Fraser-SPU on Saturday at 7 pm.Â
The Wolves are just two decimal points behind eighth place CSU Monterey Bay, 56.60 to 56.58.
2026 marks a new way to calculate the weekly rankings, which in the past was tabulated by a ratings committee. Now a National Power Index (NPI) will produce the list that eventually will determine what teams qualify for the NCAA postseason. To read more about NPI, click

Ultimately, the conference tournament champions from the PacWest, the GNAC, the RMAC, the Lone Star Conference and the CCAA will gain automatic NCAA tournament berths. At the conclusion of the conference tournaments, ten total teams will qualify for the NCAA national championships from Super-Region 4. That includes five at-large teams from this list.Â
