MONMOUTH, Ore.
- Both the Western Oregon baseball and track & field teams rank as the No. 2 team in the West Region, in their respective polls.

The baseball team remained in second place in the NCAA West Region rankings for the third straight week. The Wolves have a 33-13 record on the season, which includes a 29-11 record against in-region Division II opponents. This is the final rankings released by the NCAA prior to Sunday's (May 15) selection show. The Wolves are vying to finish in the top four in the poll to earn their right to compete in the NCAA West Regional for the third time in the past four seasons.

The Western Oregon men's track & field team has sat No. 2 in the USTFCCCA West Region rankings throughout the outdoor season. Currently the team has 419.81 points, their highest total of the season. The men have 12 individuals, and both relays, ranked in the top five in the region in their event. The women's team is also ranked in the regional poll, as they stand 10th with 174.92 points.

Both the baseball and track & field teams will be at home this weekend to host conference opponents May 13-14. The Western Oregon track & field team will host the GNAC Championships at McArthur Field beginning on Friday at 4:00 p.m. The baseball team will host Montana State Billings in its final homestand of the season. The Wolves will take on the Yellowjacks in doubleheaders on Friday at 1:00 p.m., and on Saturday at noon.
