MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Western Oregon football team returns to action this week as the Wolves host Simon Fraser in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference contest on Saturday, Sept. 22, at McArthur Field.
“Simon Fraser will present a challenge as they have a talented offensive group,” head coach
Arne Ferguson said. “We need to come out and be physical from the start because we will certainly be tested. They are big and athletic and we have to be ready to play.”
Western Oregon is looking for its first win of the season after the Wolves fell to Central Washington, 21-14, in overtime last week. In the contest, the Wolves held a 14-0 lead before the Wildcats managed to rally and come away with the victory.
