PIONEER INVITE RESULTS

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Western Oregon University women's and men's track and field teams posted a few qualifiers for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships at the Lewis and Clark Pioneer Invitational Saturday.
 
Aaron Whitaker placed second in the men's 400 meters with a time of 49.01. The freshman's time automatically qualifies him for the conference championships. His time is currently seventh in the GNAC. Bryce Leedham placed fourth in the event at 50.46. His time provisionally qualifies him for the GNAC championships.
 
In the women's 800 meters, Bailey Beeson crossed the line first and had a time of 2:14.84. The time is a GNAC provisional mark.
 
Zach Trask won the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.40. The sophomore's time is currently 11th in the conference and provisionally qualifies him for the GNAC championships.
 
Emmi Collier took first in the women's shot put with a top toss of 42-1.25 (12.83 meters) Charlene Harber won the women's long jump. Her best leap was 16-6.5 (5.04m).
 
As teams, the WOU women and men both placed third in the team totals.
 
At the Oregon Relays in Eugene, Matson Hardie posted the top mark in the men's long jump this season. The senior's third attempt was 47-3.75 (14.42m). It automatically qualifies him for the conference championships.
 
Rochelle Pappel ran the fourth fastest 100-meter hurdle time this season in the conference. She finished with a time of 14.57, a GNAC auto mark. The sophomore went from ninth to third on the school's all-time list.
 
Brett Campbell improved his 110-meter hurdle GNAC provisional mark. He finished at 15.36 Saturday.

At the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., Seabre Church placed third in the women's javelin elite division. The senior had a top mark at 154-11 (47.21m).
 
The Wolves are at the Titan Twilight Thursday for their next meet.
