SAN FRANCISCO — A three-match road trip continues this week for the Western Oregon women's soccer team with a Tuesday neutral site match against New Mexico Highlands and a true road test Thursday at Colorado Christian.

Following a dominant 7-0 win to open the season against Warner Pacific, the Wolves dropped an overtime decision to Colorado State-Pueblo in overtime on Sunday night. Two more matches remain on this road swing through the Rockies before WOU can return home for its non-conference finale and the opening of GNAC action.

MASTERFUL MABINUORI
The Wolves' keeper, Lindsey Mabinouri, has been rock solid through two matches. She has faced 12 total shots, including eight on goal. Mabinouri made four saves in her shutout win over Warner Pacific and stopped three more to send the CSU-P match into overtime.

EARLY OFFENSIVE SPARK
Last season's leading goal scorer, Makana Pundyke, had four goals for the season. Through two matches, Pundyke and Vicky Cruz Rosales are halfway to that total with two goals each, scored in the Warner Pacific match. The seven goals posted by WOU is the highest in any match since 2001.

ABOUT NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS
The Cowgirls (1-1) earned a split in their first two games of 2015, beating Texas-Permian Basin 3-1 at home Friday, then falling to Angelo State 1-0 Sunday. NMHU last played a GNAC opponent on Sept. 10, 2013, when it beat Central Washington 1-0 at home.

Three different players scored in the Cowgirls' opening win over UTPB – Molly Mortensen, Anyssa Dagnino and Nicole Millar.
