MONMOUTH, Ore. – Western Oregon linebacker
Doug Parrish was selected by the Edmonton Eskimos in the seventh round of the Canadian Football League Draft as the 61
st overall pick.

Parrish played in 10 games this past season for the Wolves. He made 23 total tackles, including 17 solo stops. He had five tackles for loss, one sack and one quarterback hurry. He made a season-high five stops against Portland State.

In his WOU career, Doug made 40 tackles, 27 by himself. Prior to his two years in Monmouth, Parrish spent three years, including a redshirt year, at San Jose State.

Parrish gets drafted to the team his father, Doug Sr., played for in the CFL after being drafted by the New York Jets in the 1991 NFL Draft. He was a member of the 1993 Grey Cup Champions for the Eskimoes.
