WOU cracks top 10 in latest NABC/DII Men’s Basketball Poll

>>> NABC/Division II Men's Basketball Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—
Climbing four spots, the Western Oregon University men's basketball team entered the top 10 for the first time this season with a No. 10 ranking in the latest NABC/Division II poll.

Western Oregon is riding a six-game winning streak and will carry a 13-1 overall record into its GNAC match on Thursday at Saint Martin's University.

The Wolves are the lone GNAC representative in the top 25 though Western Washington received votes in the poll. WOU also tops all teams in the West Region with California Baptist and Cal Poly Pomona ranked No. 24 and No. 25, respectively.

For the first time this season, a new team occupies the top position in the NABC/Division II coaches poll as Queens (N.C.) reached the top of the list for the first time in school history at the Division II level.

The Royals moved to the head of the poll after Northwest Missouri State, who had held the No. 1 spot since the beginning of the season, lost last Thursday at Missouri Southern. Queens will get an immediate test this weekend when it hosts No. 5 Lincoln Memorial in Charlotte.
