EUGENE, Ore.—Including runner-up results by
Darian Wilson and
Alani Troutman, the Western Oregon University track & field teams registered nine different top-five results while competing at the Oregon Twilight on Friday.
Wilson approached her season best in the women's javelin with a 143-6 (43.74m) while Troutman landed with a 23-3 1/4 (7.09m) for second place in the long jump.
Jalon Fields, meanwhile, placed fifth in the triple jump at 43-9 (13.33m).
Matching the result,
Nick Sieber led the WOU throwing contingent with a fifth-place finish in the shot put after uncorking a 150-1 (45.75m). Netting a career best distance of 153-2 (46.69m), Sieber also had a sixth-place finish while competing in the discus.
On the track, the WOU women placed fifth overall in the 400, 800 and the 400 hurdles.
Olivia Woods and Greyson Burke dipped below 58 seconds in the flat 400 with Woods clocking a 57.11 for fifth and Burke a 57.98 for eighth place.
In the 800,
Megan Rose crossed in fifth place with a 2:11.15.
Sara Madden took fifth in the 400 hurdles with a 1:05.73.
Josh Dempsey posted the highest finish for the WOU men on the track with a time of 1:51.27 for 800 meters.
