Gonzales, Burnett, Currie and Proctor, Jr., land on Don Hansen All-Super Region Four Team

BROOKFIELD, Ill. – Four Wolves, Joseph Gonzales, Blayne Burnett, Ty Currie and Nate Proctor, Jr., were all selected to the Don Hansen All-Super Region Four Team Tuesday. Gonzales and Burnett each landed on the second team, while Currie and Proctor, Jr., were tabbed to the third team.

"All four are very deserving of these all-region honors. To earn these awards in the region in which we play in, arguably one of the top in NCAA Division II, says a lot to the season they put together," head coach Arne Ferguson said. "These awards help build the future for the Wolves as we head into recruiting and getting ready for the 2020 season looking to continue the success from a record-breaking 2019 campaign."

The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988. Don Hansen's Football Gazette began selecting Division II All-Region squads in 2003.

The first team and second team All-Region selections advance to a national ballot from which the 2019 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America team will be selected.
