MONMOUTH, Ore. -- Jeff Castagnola brings over five years of head coaching experience, along with serving as an Academy Director for the Washington Timbers FC to the Wolves.
"Jeff is a dynamite addition to our staff. He's been successful as a head coach and can jump in right away and make an impact. Jeff has a stellar reputation and is a top-notch recruiter. I'm looking forward to working with and learning from him as a member of our staff," Head Coach Kacey Bingham said.
"I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with Coach Bingham and the rest of the staff. She has a vision for the program and I'm fortunate to be part of this program that has ambition, heart, and a growing culture of excellence," Castagnola said.
Most recently, Castagnola was the head women's soccer coach at Clark College from 2015 until this past year. He was recently named the 2019 NWAC South Coach of the Year and led the team to the only four NWAC South Division Championships in program history from 2016-19. Overall in the NWAC, the team placed second in 2018 and third in 2017. The team amassed a 64-game league unbeaten streak and multiple student-athletes were selected for the NWAC Academic Excellence Award.
Before arriving at Clark College, Castagnola has served as the Academy Director for the Washington Timbers FC since 2008. He has oversight of 49 teams from U11-U19, along with management and leadership of coaches. He also served as a camp coordinator and tournament director, while being the club liaison for the Portland Timbers/Thorns Developmental Academy Program. When Castagnola wasn't running the operations, he also served as a head coach of teams of various ages for the U11-U19 both male and female teams.
Castagnola is USSF B Licensed and he earned a bachelor of science degree in both geography and sociology from the University of Oregon.
