Wright's Big PR In The Javelin Earns GNAC Field Athlete Of The Week Accolade For Third Time

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Kaylee Wright not only hit a new personal-best in the javelin this week in Corvallis, but also moved up the WOU and GNAC all-time lists and into the top five in all of NCAA DII. Wright was named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week for the third time this season on Monday.

Wright hit a big PR in the javelin this week at the Oregon State High Performance reaching a distance of 158-8 to finish runner-up in the event. Her new mark ranks second on the WOU all-time list, is fourth in NCAA DII and is eighth on the GNAC all-time list. It's the second time this outdoor season that Wright has cleared 150 feet and her new mark was over seven feet past her previous best distance.
