NOTES FOR THIS WEEK...

MEN'S BASKETBALL
  • The Wolves didn't play an official game last week, but lost an exhibition game at Division-I Boise State 109-70 on Saturday in Boise (it was an official game for the Broncos). Kris Cook led the Wolves with 17 points (5-for-11 from 3), Carson Frincke went 5-for-9 from 3-point range for 15 points and Qiant Myers had 14 assists to go along with eight points and five rebounds.
  • Myers is third in the GNAC in scoring heading into the week (17.1) while leading the GNAC and second in the nation in assists (7.0).
  • This will just be the second all-time matchup against Wednesday's opponent Academy of Art. The Wolves played AA Nov. 29, 2014, and won 83-73 in San Francisco.
  • Much to the opposite, this will be the 52nd meeting between WOU and Cal Poly Humboldt with the Wolves holding a 19-32 record. The Wolves lost last season to Humboldt at home 97-92. WOU last defeated the Lumberjacks March 11, 2016, in the NCAA Division II West Regional (82-67) in Monmouth. The Wolves' last win on the road against Humboldt came Dec. 20, 2009 - though the teams have played only once in Arcata, California, since that game.
