Wolves men take 2nd in GNAC All-Sports final standings, WOU takes 5th overall

PORTLAND, Ore. --- Western Oregon took second place in the GNAC All-Sports men's rankings and fifth overall when the conference released the final results Wednesday.

Using the Dormeyer System (see info on that below), the Wolves men finished with an average of 6.41 - finishing only behind Western Washington (which won the overall and women's side as well). The WOU men were led by the men's soccer team winning the GNAC title.

The WOU women finished fifth as the Wolves finished fifth overall as a program.

Since 2017, the GNAC has compiled the results of the All-Sports Trophy using the Dormeyer System. The score is an average based on each school's final placing in each conference sport. Teams receive 10 points for a first-place finish with subsequent teams receiving a score based on the number of teams that participate in that sport. Scores are based on final regular-season placing in baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, softball and volleyball; and final placing in conference tournaments/meets in men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, women's rowing, men's & women's indoor track and field and men's and women's outdoor track and field.
