PORTLAND, Ore. --- Western Oregon's
Jenelle Hurley was named the GNAC Field Athlete of the Week after winning the heptathlon and setting a new PR in the high jump at the Pac Multis last week.
Hurley won the heptathlon with 4,720 points - her best season-opening performance of her career, an NCAA provisional mark and the top mark in the GNAC early in the season. She also set a PR in the high jump with a height of 1.67 meters - the top mark in the GNAC this season and just .01 meters from an NCAA provisional mark.
Hurley and the Wolves return to action Friday when they host the John Knight Twilight at McArthur Field in Monmouth.
