MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Western Oregon track and field team enjoyed its first and only home meet of the season (outside of hosting the GNAC Championships in May) at the John Knight Twilight on Friday at McArthur Field.

Here are some highlights for the Wolves from the event:

• New Hammer PR for Mark Warren set a new PR in the hammer with a distance of 53.42 meters to finish second
• The 4x400 relay team of Emmett Klus, Keeton Sanchez, Gabe Arce-Torres and Tim Rambo took second at the event with a time of 3 minutes, 23.05 seconds.
• Klus won the 800 with a personal-best time of 1:52.1 followed by Sanchez (1:53).
• Amari Hendrix won the 200 with a season-best time of 22.5.
• Caitlin Heldt ran a 17:41 to win the women's 5,000 and Natalie Perez finished at 18:16 in her debut 5k.
• Tyler White set a new PR in the long jump of 6.83 meters to take second.
• The women's 4x100 team of Josie Lavato, Ujunwa Nwokoma, Maya Hopwood and Maliyah Thompson opened the season with a 48.23 to win the event.
• Nwokoma also took second in the long jump with a distance of 5.49 meters.
• Kalulusno Ngaida took fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 10.72 meters.
• Abi Sanders set a PR in the javelin with a mark of 37.5 to finish third.
• In the hammer, Emillia Carpenter set a PR of 45.08 to finish fourth with Liliana Lyness-Morales in 5th with a throw of 43.73
