PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Western Oregon women's track and field team had a conference-best 23 student-athletes named to the GNAC All-Academic team announced by the conference Monday.

To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must own a 3.20 GPA, have been at the institution for at least a year (no true freshmen or first-year transfers) and competed for the team this season.

Madison Hargett (a junior majoring in Education) and Kaitlyn Kruse (a sophomore majoring in Exercise Science) lead the Wolves with a 4.00 GPA while junior Amity Deters (3.99 - Chemistry), sophomore Josie Ackerman (3.99 - Exercise Science), senior Jenelle Hurley (3.98 - Business) and sophomore Katie Chapman (3.97 - Exercise Science) are close behind.

For senior Ana Popchock (3.80 GPA - Biology), this was her fourth GNAC All-Academic honor while Hurley earned her third honor.
