BELLLINGHAM, Wash. --- The Western Oregon men's cross country team took fourth while the women's team took sixth at the GNAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning at Sudden Valley Golf Course.
Logan Parker led the men's team with an eighth-place finish in the 8K race with a time of 24 minutes, 45.8 seconds.
Easton Pomrankey came in 18th for WOU (25:14),
Jordan Kemper took 22nd (25:30.1),
Remedan Seman finished 24th and Matthew Resinik took 28th in a time of 25:43.9 to round out the top five for the Wolves.
Western Washington took home the men's title thanks to four runners in the top 10, including individual champion Jeret Gillingham (24:18.3).
On the women's side,
Kyla Potratz led the Wolves in the 6K race with a time of 22:29.9.
Olivia Flack (23:14.8),
Amelia Merritt (23:16.8) and
Maslin Sigler (23:16.8) finished 36th through 38th for WOU with
Kaydence Nguyen wrapping up the WOU top five with a time of 23:42.4.
Western Washington took home the team title while Alaska's Kendall Kramer (20:32.3) won the individual title.
WOU next competes at the regional championship Nov. 9 in Billings, Montana.
