PORTLAND, Ore. — With the last award release of the 2023-2024 Season, 26 Western Oregon Student-Athletes were named as 2024 GNAC Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) Scholar Athletes, presented by Barnes and Noble College. 13 of the 26 honorees for Western are repeat recipients, while seven achieved this honor with a 4.0 GPA.
 
The GNAC FAR Scholar Athlete Award recognizes any rostered student-athletes who achieves a Grade-Point Average at or above 3.85. As a whole, the GNAC had a record-breaking 394 student-athlete recipients, shattering last year's record-breaking total of 364. 
 
Included below is a list of each WOU FAR Scholar Athlete Honoree. Hannah Rispler leads the honorees for Western Oregon - receiving her fifth Scholar Athlete Honor in as many years being on the Women's Soccer Team. Six Student-Athletes are receiving this award for a fourth time, while two are three-time award recipients and four student-athletes are two-time recipients.
